We can understand how hard it is to keep the children busy during this time. We would like to provide some fun ideas on things to do with them in the home to keep them healthy, happy, and entertained.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Keeping<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Treasure hunt<\/strong>
\nMake it fun for your kids by hiding things around the house and garden.
\nWhether it is Easter eggs, cuddly toys, fruit, or a total surprise, you can find plenty of ideas for clues on the Internet and we are sure you will find some tricky places to hide the prizes.<\/p>\n

\"Keeping<\/p>\n

2. Science experiments<\/strong>
\nWe are not recommending you turn your kitchen into a chemistry lab, but there are plenty of child-friendly science experiments available online. Whether you want to grow crystals or make slime there will be something to occupy them. Just beware, it could get a bit messy!<\/p>\n

3. Painting<\/strong>
\nWhether it is finger painting, or something more refined, it’s a great way to spend a few hours.<\/p>\n

4. Baking<\/strong>
\nMaking a cake or cupcakes can be a great way to have fun in the kitchen with your little ones, for the younger ones they can help you decorate the cake. Meanwhile, older ones can help you make the mixture from scratch.<\/p>\n

\"Keeping<\/p>\n

5. Den-making<\/strong>
\nWhether it is in the house or the garden there is nothing better than making a den for big and little kids, it might even take you back to your childhood.<\/p>\n

\"Entertaining<\/p>\n

6. Board games<\/strong>
\nDo not discredit the good old board games. Although you might be tempted to bring out some of the family favourites like Monopoly or Scrabble, why not push the boat out and try something a bit different.<\/p>\n

\"How<\/p>\n

7. Puzzles<\/strong>
\nWhatever their age, you’ll be able to find a suitable puzzle, from the simple 10-piece ones for the younger kids, to the 1000 piece puzzles for the old kids, puzzles are a great way to occupy kids for a few hours over the week.<\/p>\n

8. Create a memory box<\/strong>
\nThis is a time that will be remembered in the histories books for years to come. Why not make a memory box. It will keep imaginations flowing and small hands occupied, creating something they can continue to contribute towards in the future.<\/p>\n

\"Entertaining<\/p>\n

9. Get Gardening<\/strong>
\nGrowing plants is great fun and it is even more fun, if they can watch their work get bigger and flower in front of their eyes. There are lots of plants that even a young child can grow without too much trouble, from seeds to small trees to herbs and vegetables. If you do not have a garden, then a window box or small pots are the answer and it will not matter what time of year you plant them. Try growing herbs like basil, parsley, or cress \u2013 that way they can eat them once they have grown.<\/p>\n

10. Pizza Party<\/strong>
\nGet in the kitchen and get cooking with the children. They get to be creative and you get to eat pizza. Win-win.<\/p>\n
